Festi’Terroir

The 7th edition of Festi’Terroir will take place on Saturday, August 30th and Sunday, August 31st, at the Parc des Bastions.

The entire Swiss Food Academy team is looking forward to welcome you to the market for this event, which showcases local sustainable food stakeholders in Geneva.

This year, we’re partnering with the Swiss Foundation ProSpecieRara to talk about tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅.

Workshops will be offered every day for children to taste, smell, explore, cook, and garden tomatoes, as it’s the peak season and our palates are asking for more 😋.

3 fun workshops led by specialists:

– Little Chefs’ Workshop, “Prepare the Bruschetta of Your Dreams,” a slice of crusty bread topped with tomatoes and their tasty companions.

– Little Chefs’ Workshop, “Create Your Colorful Summer Skewer,” join the team of little chefs to create your own skewer with a multitude of colors and flavors.

– Little Gardeners’ Workshop, “The Seeds of Happiness,” a tomato seed workshop led by ProSpecieRara will allow you to discover the fabulous diversity of shapes and colors of our star vegetable (a fruit or a vegetable, for that matter?). It will also be an opportunity to introduce the Chancy Tomato, a local variety that deserves to be better known.

We will have an information booth where our team will be on hand to discuss the food transition and inform you about the back-to-school activities and the association’s projects.

We look forward to seeing you all come and enjoy the Indian summer before slowing down to the rhythm of autumn.

The workshops are suitable for children aged 6 to 12 years old.

Workshop fee: CHF 10 per child.

Workshop schedule:

• Saturday, August 30: workshops at 10:45 a.m., 2:00 p.m., or 3:15 p.m.
• Sunday, August 31: workshops at 10:45 a.m., 2:00 p.m., or 3:15 p.m.

Workshop duration: 45 minutes.
